Family Medical Clinic Mountaingate is a small and friendly, doctor owned medical clinic located in Mountaingate shopping Centre, Ferntree Gully. Our aim is to give our patients the highest possible quality of care by ensuring excellence in all aspects of our practice. We endeavour to provide patients with the best and most current treatments, methods, materials and equipment within our resource capabilities to ensure patients receive the high quality of service they have come to know from our doctors and staff. We believe that patients come first.

Our patients are assured to receive timely care and advice appropriate to their individual needs. Patients have the opportunity to communicate their health concerns, discuss the treatment options with the doctor and make informed decisions about their care.

Our focus is not only on disease prevention and treatment but on health promotion as well. We welcome new patients and families to our clinic. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill in the paperwork on your first visit. We make sure the information you provide to us is confidential and secure. Our electronic patient information is securely stored and only authorized persons can access the information.

We bulk bill all patients with valid Medicare card. Standard private consultation fee is $60.

We are providing flu vaccination free to all patients at this time.

You can only book phone consultation online. Please contact us for face to face consultation. We are unable to see patients with upper respiratory tract infection / chest infection as we are not taking Covid19 swabs..

Test Results

Allow approximately 3 business days for most of the test results.We request you to make an appointment with your doctor to discuss the results and the management plan. We do not provide results over the phone as it can lead to poor quality of care.

Repeat prescriptions and referrals

In the interest of best practice, we request you to make an appointment with your doctor for prescriptions and referrals .

Medical certificates

Generally medical certificates for work or school will be issued starting from the day the patient is seen at the clinic. In some circumstances the certificate may cover upto 2 days prior to the consultation.

The clinic provides the following services

Diagnose and treatment of illness of all age groups

Vaccinations- children’s vaccinations and Travel vaccinations
Contraception- Implanon insertion and removal and IUCD removal.

Skin cancer check

Minor surgery for lumps and bumps.

Free health assessments- 6 week check, 4 year old check, 45 year old check and above 75 years old health check. Health check for aboriginal people and Torres Strait islanders.

Care plans- We do care plans for mental health issues to Medicare rebated visits to psychologists and Chronic disease care plans to visit allied health workers for eligible patients.

We are responding to your feed back.

1. We have signed a contract with after hours service Doctor Doctor to provided quality care during after hours and on weekends

2. Clinician access- We are making sure the GP return your call either during lunch time or after evening session on the same day

3. Waiting times- we are striving to decrease waiting times by blocking 20 minutes during each session for time catch up . Unfortunately we can not predict emergencies.

4. Hiring a female doctor- we have place advertisements to get a female GP

We are closed from 25th of December 2020 until 3rd of January 2021 for christams holidays. The clinic opens back on 4th of January 2021.
